Questions

What is ube?
Ube is a purple yam, a root vegetable with a naturally sweet, earthy flavour and deep violet colour. It's not the same as taro, which is a different root with a milder, greyer flesh.
Is your ube real purple yam, or just flavouring and colouring?
Real purple yam, every time. No imitation ube flavouring and no artificial colouring. The colour and taste come from the yam itself.
What do you make?
Ube cakes, halaya jars, donuts, pandesal, crinkle cookies and cheesecake, all baked in small batches to order.
How far ahead do I need to order a custom cake?
At least 5 days ahead, so we can source fresh purple yam and plan your design.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes, chilled courier delivery across Aotearoa New Zealand. Auckland pickup is also available.
Can I order right now?
We're not open for orders yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment the first batch is ready.
Do you do wholesale for cafés or grocers?
Yes. Email us for a trade price list covering halaya and pandesal.

No shortcuts. No imitation flavouring. Just real ube.
